In the political arena the winner is often a voice that has not been heard before. Perhaps the voters grow weary of hearing the same promises and the same empty concerns over issues that are merely intended to create a false sense of unity. Another aspect of the political environment is that friendships are rarely sincere, as leaders in government will quickly abandon each other out of fear of losing their grasp on the limited powers they enjoy.

In the closing moments of each political life all the deeds and great ideas may seem like marbels spinning out of control. The few things we accomplish provide little solace or comfort for those who suffer and we cannot extend the basic necessities of life without sharing and caring for each other. We organize governments chiefly to prevent ourselves from losing total control and trying to kill each other. If we move out into space, how we will see the need for organization if we never form large group societies again?
